Paul Gauguin Cruises celebrates 10 years in 2019 and operates the award-winning luxury cruise ship the m/s Paul Gauguin, which provides an exceptional cruise experience tailored to the unparalleled wonders of Tahiti, French Polynesia, Fiji and the South Pacific. The renowned, 5+-star m/s Paul Gauguin was built specifically to sail the waters of Tahiti, French Polynesia, and the South Pacific, and is the longest continually operating luxury cruise ship in this enchanting destination. No other luxury ship in history has offered this level of single-destination focus and expertise on a year-round basis for such an extended period of time. In September 2019, Paul Gauguin Cruises joined PONANT’s family, the world leader of small ship cruising.
A memorandum of agreement was signed in November 2019 for the construction and design of two new-generation luxury expedition cruise vessels, operating in the South Pacific, which will bring Paul Gauguin Cruises’ fleet to three ships. The two new ships are due for delivery in 2022 and each vessel will have a capacity of 230 guests each. The ships will be equipped with cutting-edge technology in terms of environment and population protection, featuring the most extensive battery package application in the market, allowing smokeless operation at anchor, in ports and in environmentally sensitive areas.
